Description:
This two-day workshop is designed for grades 3–5 teachers to explore how high-quality picture books and texts can inspire learning across life, physical, and earth sciences. Participants will experience standards-aligned science lessons using the 5E instructional model while making connections between science and ELA. Educators will examine strategies to promote student discourse through three-dimensional teaching and learning. All lessons and practices are aligned to the Arizona Science Standards and support meaningful, integrated instruction. Participants will walk away with Picture Perfect Science Lessons and tradebooks.
