In this interactive virtual course, participants will learn how to support students in developing a scientific explanation through an authentic learning experience. By using a model, you will develop an explanation based upon evidence to explain what causes the phenomenon. By the end of the workshop you will be able to differentiate explanations from argumentation and deepen your understanding of how this practice progresses across the grade bands.
Materials needed: plastic or glass cup, cardstock, pieces of plastic, and other similar materials.
