Description
Using a Communities of Practice (CoP) model, we will work together to deepen our understanding of the Investigating Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs), namely Asking Questions and Defining Problems, Planning and Carrying Out Investigations, and Using Mathematics and Computational Thinking, as outlined in Helping Students Make Sense of the World Using Next Generation Science & Engineering Practices by authors Christina Schwarz, Cynthia Passmore, and Brian Reiser. We will begin meeting through Zoom starting in December with our final meeting in February. As a CoP, we will be practicing strategies, sharing ideas about what works, learning from others and growing together.
