Description

Description:  In this virtual course, participants will learn how to connect the dots and gain knowledge to identify lessons that intertwine the 3-dimensions (Science and Engineering Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, and Disciplinary Core Ideas) as proposed in A Framework for K-12 Science Education.  By exploring the Big Ideas in science, participants will determine how to focus lessons on these big ideas to deepen student understanding.  They will gain a better understanding of the instructional shifts needed for three-dimensional science instruction utilizing our new AZ Science Standards. This course will be delivered utilizing Google-based applications and Zoom.

Cost: $25 ASTA Members; $35 Non ASTA members
