Description
Title: AZ Ambitious 3D Teaching Communities of Practice, Cohort 3: Supporting ongoing changes in thinking
Event Details: Using a Communities of Practice (CoP) model, we will work together to master the Core Practice Set 3 “Supporting ongoing changes in thinking” outlined in Ambitious Science Teaching by Mark Windschitl, Jessica Thompson, and Melissa Braaten ( https://ambitiousscienceteaching.org/). Once registered, you will receive the Ambitious Science Teaching text by mail and we will begin meeting monthly through Zoom and in-person. Between December 2023 and March 2024, we will be sharing ideas about what works, learning from others, gaining new ideas and growing together. For our in-person meeting, we look forward to having Dr. Cynthia Passmore, one of the authors of Helping Students Make Sense of the World Using Next Generation Science and Engineering Practices.
