Eager to learn “how” to teach 3-dimensional science? Want to experience it?
Join this in-person professional learning experience where you will be engaged in a 3-dimensional lesson as a learner. Using a model, you will develop an explanation based upon evidence to explain what causes the water to stay in the inverted cup.
We will reflect on how the lesson had the learners engaged in sensemaking while utilizing the practices, crosscutting concepts, and the core ideas.
Participants will learn strategies and receive resources on how to teach students to develop scientific explanations, a science and engineering practice in AZ Science Standards, and how this practice progresses across the grade bands.
3 Hours of PD Credit will be awarded.
