School/position: I currently teach at Show Low High School. I teach environmental science, which is our freshman science. I also have a STEM elective class where I trying to implement hands-on activities to get my students excited about the STEM fields.
One of your favorite science activities: I love looking through a microscope and seeing what I can discover.
Why you serve on ASTA: I think it is important for teachers to feel connected and supported. My goal is to be helpful to those in my district that need those connections and support. I don’t think any teacher should have to feel like all they can do is tread water.
